- Note for workshop-only track students: Some of the questions asked/answered here may be mostly relevant for those who are also completing a mentored research experience this summer, although there will likely be discussion about the workshops as well. With this said, if you’d like to skip this first workshop, feel free.

Week 5: Journal club
Before the workshop, please read the following article and be ready to discuss any thoughts and/or questions you had about it: Brady et al. (2023). Overperception of moral outrage in online social networks inflates beliefs about intergroup hostility. After the workshop, feel free to check out these slides.
Week 6: Career panel
During this panel, you’ll hear from several recent graduates in psychology and/or neuroscience about what they’re up to now, whether it be pursuing graduate school or working in a non-academic job. Come prepared with any questions you might have for the panelists.
Week 7: Journal club
Before the workshop, please read the following article and be ready to discuss any thoughts and/or questions you had about it: Templeton et al. (2022). Fast response times signal social connection in conversation.
Week 8: Graduate student data blitz
During this session, you’ll here from several current Columbia Psychology PhD students about their current research. Come prepared to listen and ask questions!
